Fare Match Review

Last updated:

Flight Owings can review a publicly available fare you find while you are considering a booking. The purpose is to compare equivalent travel options and see whether a matching or suitable alternative itinerary is available at the time of review.

This is a pre-purchase review process, not an unconditional lowest-price guarantee, price-protection product, or promise of reimbursement after purchase. Review the scope below before requesting a comparison.

1. Make the request before purchase

Contact our team before authorizing the purchase you want reviewed. Supply a current public link to the competing fare and enough detail to reproduce the itinerary. Inventory can change during the comparison, and neither the link nor a screenshot holds a seat.

Do not purchase an additional ticket on the assumption that one booking will be refunded or that a difference will be paid. Existing purchases remain governed by the conditions accepted for those transactions.

2. Compare equivalent itineraries

  • The same travelers and passenger types, origin and destination airports, travel dates, and one-way or round-trip scope.
  • The same operating and marketing carriers where relevant, flight numbers, departure times, connections, and cabin.
  • Comparable baggage, seat benefits, change conditions, cancellation rights, and ticket restrictions.
  • The same currency and a total that includes mandatory taxes, carrier charges, required booking charges, and any service fee.
  • A fare that is currently available to the public and can actually be selected for the itinerary being compared.

3. Information to send

Provide the source website, the date and time observed, the complete fare breakdown, and the relevant conditions. A screenshot may help describe the fare but cannot establish availability by itself. Remove login details, payment information, and other unnecessary personal data.

Tell us which features matter to you. A fare with an extra connection or fewer included services may be a different option rather than a true like-for-like match.

4. Offers that may not be comparable

Private or negotiated rates, membership-only or employee fares, reward redemptions, package prices, opaque itineraries, targeted coupons, and unverified or expired offers may not provide a public like-for-like comparison. A lower figure that excludes a required cost is not the same total.

A suspected pricing error or a fare that disappears before it can be selected does not establish a matching obligation. Our team can explain the difference or help identify another itinerary; you decide whether that alternative meets your needs.

5. The outcome of a review

The review may identify an equivalent available fare, an option with different conditions, or no matching inventory. Any quote still needs your approval and remains subject to availability until the applicable booking and ticketing steps are complete.

There is no automatic refund of a later price reduction. Any separate post-purchase benefit must be established in an express written agreement for that product; the existence of this page does not create one.

6. Review the complete amount before deciding

Even where the ticket price appears similar, compare the final payable total and the value of included services. Ask for any agency fee separately, along with the conditions that apply if you later change your plans.

You are free to choose another provider or decline an alternative. Requesting a comparison is not an authorization to charge your payment method or make a reservation at a different price.
